Meylo Rodriguez – HopCast April 13, 2011

Another great night at Roosevelt’s at 7 in McAllen, Texas. Seems like the Wytchmaker Rye IPA’s kept flowing.. OUCH! So glad Roosie’s was able to swing a few kegs from one of Austin’s newer brewerys, Jester King. If you haven’t had a chance to try their beers, please stop what ever it is you’re doing and go find some ASAP(only on tap.)

Record Store Day is this Saturday. Be sure to join us over at Fall Back Records. Hopsonic DJs will be out there spinning all vinyl running the musical gamut. Anything goes. Also, free beer while it lasts peeps. Doors open at 11am. So show up early to make sure you get your Record Store Day picks…

And now, the music…

Dj Profile

meylo

A native of deep South Texas just miles away from the Mexican border, Meylo’s musical experiences date back to the summer of 1986 when he DJed a friend’s birthday party. By 1991 he was mixing records at night clubs and raves and DJing gigs as large as Lalapalooza. In 2007 he moved to Austin to further his career as an interactive designer, and that’s where he teamed up with his long time buddy Jose. Together they launched HopSonic Radio. Meylo’s musical tastes range from Singer/Songwriter, Folk and Country to Funk, Nu-soul, and of course, House.
